All of my items are handmade and most of them are one of a kind. I’ve made it my policy across my shops to not accept returns due to this. However, I want my customers to have a wonderful experience with my work and I stand behind my products - so repairs, size adjustments, and customization will always be free of charge. If you have a problem or concern with your order, please contact me so that we can find the best resolution for you.
I will work with you regarding custom sizing on any of our items. I want you to have the best buying experience possible and know that sometimes it's difficult to get just the right fit, so we can work together to find the best fit for you. Significant changes may result in a surcharge, which will be discussed as we figure out the fit.
Custom and personalized orders may take additional time to prepare for shipment, depending on the changes requested. I will provide an estimate of time to complete as we are working on finalizing your order. I will confirm the customization with you prior to starting on your order, so that we make sure that you get exactly what you want.
Katie Holder Artisan Jewelry makes items in a variety of metals and gemstones. Care for each varies a little - so here is a simple overview of the most frequent materials I use:
Sterling silver jewelry should be cleaned with regular soap and water or a standard silver jewelry cleaner (like Connoisseurs in the red bottle).
Titanium and Niobium jewelry can lose their colors with harsh chemicals, so make sure to stick with warm water and mild soap.
Anodized aluminum and stainless steel clean up quickly with a bit of dish soap and a rinse!

Purchases include free basic USPS First Class shipping within the US. This will include a tracking number for your convenience.
Katie Holder Artisan Jewelry is not liable for any order that is lost during shipping or stolen from your mailbox. If you've ordered an item and it shows delivered, but you don't have it, I recommend checking with neighbors or family members. However, if you are concerned about not receiving your package, we recommend purchasing a Priority Shipping upgrade with your order - this will include insurance on your purchase up to $50. We will, on a case by case basis, will reasonably help in any way we can. For more information on priority shipping insurance offered by USPS, please visit their website.
As a home-based internet business, I get a LOT of packaging from supplies. Katie Holder Artisan Jewelry is committed to reducing waste as much as possible, so I re-use these boxes and supplies for shipping your orders to you. So don't be surprised if you receive your item in a re-used shipping box! It may not be pretty, but it helps conserve just a tiny bit.
For ready-to-ship items, I generally get them packaged and shipped within 24 hours of your order (barring Sundays). Once they are in USPS's hands, I cannot guarantee transit times.
Made to order or custom items may take a day or two - or up to 6 weeks for large custom orders like armor/bikini/clothing - to prepare and ship out. If you have a deadline, reach out to me to discuss.
